THERMOCYL™ can be used as a very efficient flame barrier for foams, both flexible and rigid.
Both will pass UL94 V0 and BS5852 Crib V easily. When spray coated, the core of the foam is not modified at all, but even with the core unprotected, the foam will not burn.
After the flame test, the coated foam will be an empty shell of THERMOCYL™ as the unprotected foam will have melted. Dripping is not observed.
In the case of flexible foams, impregnation brings the ultimate protection: no burning is observed at all.
