While THERMOCYL™ holds promise for a wide range of applications, a typical application is thermal protection of aluminum parts. Aluminum has low temperature resistance, for example, but by coating aluminum with THERMOCYL™, it will be able to resist a flame of 1100°C for more than 100 minutes, according to Test Method ISO 2685.
