Nanocyl can Quote 10 European Projects and 4 Belgian Ones

A. Sixth Framework Programme : FP6 projects

  1. Ambio project concerns anti-biofouling technologies. More precisely, technologies are being developed to prevent or reduce the adhesion of fouling organisms for marine applications. Related product: BIOCYL™.
  2. Carbon chip project focuses on silicium-based nanoelectronics.
  3. Inteltex project, which Nanocyl is coordinating, investigates the field of high tech textiles, for applications such as sensors.

B. Seventh Framework Programme: FP7 projects

  1. Anticarb deals with functionalized carbon nanotubes for cancer therapy.
  2. Dephotex will alow Development of Photovoltaic Textiles based on novel Fibres.
  3. Finelumenwhich is a project dedicated to the training of tomorrow’s researchers, focuses on cavity confined luminophores for advanced photonic materials.
  4. Thermonano will allow the set up of low-temperature heat exchangers based on thermally-conductive polymer nanocomposites.
  5. Solhydromics concerns nanodesigned electrochemical converter of solar energy into hydrogen, hosting natural enzymes or their mimics.
  6. Nanorai's consortium will develop X-Ray tube based on the Field Emission properties of Carbon Nanotubes.

C. Specific Belgian Projects : DG06 supported

  1. Nanocompo investigates synergies between carbon nanotubes and other fillers for various properties and applications. Nanocyl is the coordinator of this project.
  2. Conductfil concerns spinnable carbon nanotube nanocomposites, and carbon nanotubes localized at the interface of bi-component blends.
  3. ICS deals with intelligent cooling systems, and the preparation of thermally-conductive materials for the aerospace industry.
  4. Picom studies the membrane-electrode assembly for fuel cell.

D. ESA Projects

Nanocyl also is participating in the ESA project “Non-conventional Matrix/Carbon Nanotubes Reinforced Composite for Space Applications.”
