Technical Services and Development Senior Technologist
Reports to : TS&D Associate Director
Status : Full time staff
Competencies :
- Specific expertise in thermosetting materials, processing, manufacturing and testing
- Experience in the field of nanocomposites is an asset
- Strong background in the following processing technology :

- Wet lay up
- Draping
- RTM
- Resin infusion
- Pre-preg
- Impregnation line
-
- Expertise in formulation procedures and knowledge of usual fillers used in reference industries (sporting goods, aerospatial, nautic industry, …)
- Expertise in composites characterization (tensile , compression, fracture toughness, impact, …)
- Theoretical knowledge required in material mechanical behavior and engineering
- Ability to interface effectively with commercialization, quality control and production departments and elicit technical requirements for applications
- Demonstrate excellence in application of theories and principle of technical specialty
Key responsibilities :
- He/She will report his/her laboratory and testing activities directly to the TS&D Director
- Will actively work on customization of actual material in order to fit with customer requirements
- Will be responsible of various machines related to his/her activities
- Will support commercialization through technical assessment and demonstrations (on and off site)
- Contribute to motivate the creativity and innovation capacity of the organization
Education/Experience :
- Graduate/ Engineer/Master degree in material science or chemistry 5-10+ years of experience
- Preferred candidate has strong technical background in materials processing, manufacturing and characterization within a well recognized organization
- Special expertise in methods of characterization of materials
- Experience in product research/development and process applications
