Polycarbonates filled by carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have emerged as proven applications for developing new materials which control electrostatic discharge (ESD). Exhibiting outstanding cleanliness combined with low surface resistivity and good mechanical properties, the PC/NC7000 material is now widely used in electronic packaging. However, before commercialization, issues were raised about the surface quality of the specimens after injection moulding (which is an issue for clean applications).
