• Knowledge of the main technique for mixing and processing thermoplastic and thermoset materials.

Key responsibilities

• He/She will report his/her laboratory activities directly to the Product Development Manager
• Contributes to define specific resin formulations and processes procedures
• Prepare the defined formulation for sampling / Pilot scale activities and run the consequent fundamental validation tests.

Education/Experience

• Graduate / Industrial Engineer degree or equivalent in Chemistry or Polymer / Material Science field
• Preferred candidate has a proven technical background in structural composite materials processing, manufacturing and characterisation (resin formulation and prepregs)
• Fluent in French and in English

Competencies

• Specific expertise in thermoset resins, formulation and processing (strucural composites and adhesives)
• Knowledge of the main technique for testing and characterising the structural composites (in particular with experience with aerospace and automotive standards)
• Ability to interface effectively with the customer and ability to understand its requirements and specifications as function of the applications.

Key responsibilities

• He / She will report his/her laboratory activities directly to the Product Development Manager
• Define project scope and estimate work effort and elapsed time through use of detailed project plans
• Run specific customer related project on lab related to new product development in the field of thermoset materials (mainly epoxy resins)
• Contribute to motivate the creativity and innovation capacity of the organisation
• Commercial attitude and business oriented mind

Education/Experience

• PhD / Engineer degree or equivalent in Chemistry or Material Science Field
• Preferred candidate has strong technical background in structural composite materials processing, manufacturing and characterisation (resin formulation and pre-pregs) within a well recognised organisa
• Experience in product research/development and process applications

Competencies

• Specific expertise thermoplastic fiber spinning and post-treatments (twisting texturisation ....) of mono and multifilament. Knowledge of wet spinning process is a plus.
• Knowledge of patent/Intellectual property is a plus
• Knowledge of the main fiber processing techniques (weaning, knitting, braiding ...) and the further techniques on the textile produces (coating, impregnation, water repellent treatment ...).
• The provenience from the technical textile field is a plus.
• Knowledge of the main technique for testing and characterising both the fibers/yarn and the textiles structures.
• Ability to rapidly develop technical understanding of potential industrial application for carbon nanotubes in fibers and textiles
• Manage projects plans, milestones, tasks, priorities etc.
• Ability to lead process and product development research and scale-up projects
• Ability to interface effectively with commercialization, quality control and production departments and elicit technical requirements for the applications
• Demonstrate excellence in application of theories and principle of tehncial speciality

Key responsibilities

• Preferred candidate has strong technical background in fiber spinning and textiles production/treatment within a well recognised organisation
• Experience in product research/development and process applications
• Specific experience in technical textiles and for personal protection will constitute a plus
